Sekumpul Waterfall

Sekumpul Waterfall is touted as the most beautiful waterfall in Bali. It is fairly close to Niagara Falls Lemukih, only about 2 km away. Understandably, the Village and Village Lemukih Sekumpul indeed neighbors. To see Sekumpul Waterfall close, it takes a bit of effort and struggle. From the parking lot, you have to walk quite far away, down a dirt road, down the hundreds of stairs, and across the river. When you ride a motorcycle, you can still ride from the parking lot (near the ticket window), to the end of the road paving. After paving the way out, the road turned into a narrow dirt road (footpath). Not long down the path, you arrived at a blank bale (gazebo) with Niagara Falls Sekumpul incredible lure.

Gitgit Waterfall

Gitgit Waterfall is a real beauty. It’s huge and cascades over the cliff top through a tiny gap in the jungle. It tumbles into a small pool surrounded by giant boulders and lots of lush greenery. The walk is short and generally well maintained, so it’s accessible to anyone who can manage a few staircases. It’s easy to see why it’s become such a popular spot. Despite this, you can still have a great time here, but you’ll need to come early if you want to escape the crowds. Here’s everything you need to know about visiting Gitgit Waterfall.

Aling - Aling Waterfall

Trees and shrubs appear to form a hanging garden from which the water jumps in the underlying river. These elements will give you true feelings of a jungle survival without venturing off the beaten track, which is exactly what a lot of people are looking for! However, although the walk to Aling-Aling waterfall has always been a tough track, now it has become suitable for beginners and families.

Do not swim in this waterfall because the current here is quite strong and the depth of the river doesn’t allow you to swim. This waterfall still has a special significance for Balinese because the surrounding area is deemed sacred. We should respect, therefore, the locals and their recommendation to not swim in this waterfall, although this pristine blue water looks pretty tempting.

And last but not least, take a moment to admire the waterfall while your body recovers from fatigue.

Banyumala Twin Waterfall

A quick hike to Banyumala Twin Waterfalls, a nice hidden waterfall with a jungle background in north Bali. This is a short, steep hike that leads to a cascade of small waterfalls joined together. It’s a beauty, and there’s even a natural pool to swim in.

Diving & Snorkeling

Menjangan Island diving

Most of Menjangan Island’s dive sites offer both shallow, coral-covered reef flats and steeper walls riddled with caves and overhangs. Here you can find fabulous whip corals, large sponges, and huge sea fans as you go deeper. Turtles, reef sharks, and schools of fusiliers are all common, as well as tuna, trevallies, and barracuda. Big marbled stingrays are sometimes seen in the deeper sections and manta or devil rays will occasionally pass by. There are even the heavily broken-up remains of a wreck!

Pemuteran dive sites

The diving around Pemuteran itself focuses on several offshore reefs known as Taka, straight out from the village. Whilst the visibility is not as good as at Menjangan, these dive sites are great for a gentle afternoon dive hunting for macro. The famous Biorock artifial reefs are also worth exploring, particularly in the early morning. Divers can simply walk off the beach and explore a garden of incredible underwater structures, all covered with soft and hard corals and bustling with small reef fish.
